Refund Policy

Terms Privacy Support Refunds
Effective Date: April 1, 2026

1. Subscription cancellation

You can cancel your GovSeeker Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access through the end of the month you've already paid for.

2. Standard refund policy (14 days)

If you're unsatisfied with GovSeeker for any reason within 14 days of your initial paid subscription, email [email protected] and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion (see Section 4).

3. Annual plans

Annual plans get a pro-rated refund for unused months if you cancel after the 14-day window — calculated as: (months remaining ÷ 12) × annual price, minus a 10% administrative fee.

4. After the refund window

For requests beyond 14 days, we evaluate case-by-case. We typically grant refunds when:

  • A documented service outage prevented you from using GovSeeker for >7 consecutive days that month
  • A billing error or duplicate charge occurred
  • The data you needed (a specific data source) wasn't available as advertised

We typically decline refunds when:

  • You used the service substantially during the billing period
  • You forgot to cancel and were auto-renewed (we recommend setting a calendar reminder)
  • Your business circumstances changed (we understand, but pre-paid subscriptions are non-refundable)

5. Failed payments

If your card is declined on a renewal attempt, we'll retry up to 3 times over 7 days and email you. If we still can't charge after that, your account is downgraded to the free tier — your data is preserved but Pro features become unavailable until you update payment.

6. Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer, please email [email protected] first. We can almost always resolve issues directly within one business day. Chargebacks may result in account suspension while disputed.
